Leah Ann Linton was born in Pinetown, North Carolina on November 3rd, 1941. She has two brothers, one older and one younger. They are pictured below and clicking on their pictures will take you to more info on them and their families.

Ann Hines is still alive and was one of three children born of parents, Ronald Armstead Linton and Lillian Carlotta Keech. Ann and her older brother, Ronald Linton, Jr. were both born at home and not in a hospital. Learning to play piano at an early age, Ann used her talent to play for many churches and is the primary influence on The Pirate's musical career. Ann, like her husband, Paul Rule, also graduated high school at Oscar F. Smith in South Norfolk, Virginia. With a knack for organization, Ann enjoyed a long 30+ year career working for the City of Chesapeake in the Streets and Highways division. She divorced Paul shortly after The Pirate was born and remarried twice in her life. Her second marriage was to Curtis Ray Stacey, the step-father from whom The Pirate took his last name. Divorcing Curtis after The Pirate finished grade school, Ann married the best of the three, and the man whom she loved the most, Raymond Hines. Raymond lived into his 90's but passed away in 2016. Ann still goes by Leah Ann Hines. Ann was raised Baptist and is a devout Christian. The Pirate loves his mother and believes there is no better mother a son could have.
