Jasper Keech is deceased and was one of four children born of possible parents, John Theodore Thache and three possible spouses, Rhoda, Sarah Standin and an unknown. It is also possible that Jasper was the son of Rhoda and another possible spouse known as Joseph or John Keech. Jasper was born in Pennsylvania in 1744 and died in Beaufort County, North Carolina in 1833. Jasper and either Margaret or Rachael had two known children. It is unknown which wife bore which children, but for some reason, Jasper's name was changed from Thache to Keech. It is rumored the change was due to wanting disassociation with the famous pirate, Blackbeard. But here's the big IF...If Jasper was the son of either a Joseph or John Keech, it would indicate the Keech line came from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At this point, the Keech line is highly speculative but The Pirate wishes to continue down the line of assumption that Blackbeard is his ancestor.
