Lady and The Pirate were joined by quite a few friends on this cruise. Jeremy and Sheila Brosnan came along with Sheila's sister and her husband. Howie, a mutual friend of everyone on the cruise also joined the party. But most importantly, this was Steven Blair's first of many cruises with Lady and The Pirate as he would move in with them and venture off around the world any chance he could. As a simple get away cruise out of Los Angeles, there wasn't much to remember at this late date except watching Steven parasail and a memory of thinking Lady and The Pirate's crew were part of a drug deal. On the way out to a beach excursion, the taxi boat had to make a suspicious drop off that had everyone wondering had they booked the wrong excursion. Fortunately, the excursion turned out great and was a peaceful day away from the crowds. The cruise didn't stop in Mazatlan, Mexico this trip, like it had before. Mazatlan was having some violence issues and cruises were avoiding it. Instead, this cruise spent the night in Cabo.
Notes on this cruise:
A hurricane had recently damaged Cabo and Lady and The Pirate worried it would be difficult to navigate the city. It turned out okay.
Steven must have seemed suspicious, being a solo coming back from Mexico, and customs spent a bit more time than usual going through his things.
